The city sometimes experiences the unpredictable mood of the nature in different seasons but otherwise it enjoys moderate temperature throughout. Summers here begin from early March and lasts up to July. Though the city doesn't experience extreme heat as in the Northern parts of India but the humidity makes it quite unbearable with daytimes being very sunny with dry heat. The temperature reaches above 40'C. Monsoons usually start from July-August to October.Since Pune is situated on the leeward side of the ghats,Pune enjoys three to four months of rains with temperature varying from 18-19 degrees to 30 degrees. Winters begin from November and lasts up to January.With hot cup of tea/coffee and light woollens attire during daytime and heavy wollen garments during night ,winters are pleasant here. The best time to visit the city is all through the year.
